The Toledo Walleye were only able to get one past ECHL MVP and goalie of the year Jeff Jakaitis in game one of the Kelly Cup Eastern Conference Finals. Jakaitis finished the night stopping 29/30 shots he faced. South Carolina forward Wayne Simpson paced the Stingray offense, finishing the night with 1 goal and 1 assist.
