When I was 18 years old, I moved away from home to play junior hockey for the Penticton Panthers (now the Penticton Vees) of the British Columbia Junior Hockey League (BCHL). It was my first year away from home and to say it was an adjustment would be an understatement. I had an amazing billet family but I definitely struggled on the ice to find any consistency.
I'm not gonna lie, it's a little bitter sweet following the Vienna Capitals as they start their Champions Hockey League season. With that being spend it was a great three years there and I still have a lot of friends on the team and Viennese friends who follow the site.
